Elon Musk Calls for Deletion of U.S. Federal Agencies at Dubai Summit

Dubai: Tech billionaire Elon Musk stated that federal agencies should first be deleted from the U.S. government. Speaking virtually at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Thursday, he remarked that if weeds are not uprooted completely, they will grow rapidly. Musk also criticized U.S. foreign interventions, questioning whether agencies like USAID and the National Endowment for Democracy have truly promoted democracy. He emphasized that during Trump's tenure, the U.S. had little interest in interfering in other nations' internal affairs.

Musk announced that Grok-3 AI chatbot, developed by X (formerly Twitter), will be ready in two weeks, calling it somewhat "scary." He also revealed a plan to establish the "Dubai Loop" in collaboration with his Boring Company to improve transportation. Meanwhile, Trump’s administration is tightening control over government agencies, with Musk leading efforts to improve government efficiency.

Recently, around 75,000 U.S. government employees have reportedly agreed to resign under the buyout offer introduced by Trump’s administration. The offer was extended to 2.3 million government employees, and some agencies may face up to 70% staff reductions. Musk's Department of Government Efficiency is overseeing budget cuts, with a potential trillion-dollar reduction in government spending.
