Former Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoitte reportedly died by suicide just hours after being dismissed by President Putin.
His removal followed severe disruptions in aviation and shipping, including drone threats and an ammonia leak at Ust-Luga port. Appointed in 2024, Starovoitte had served as Kursk governor.
Andre Nikitin replaces him, and an investigation into the death is underway.
