F-16 Fighter Jet Crash in Poland During Air Show Practice, Pilot Dead

Warsaw, Poland:  A tragic incident struck Poland when an F-16 fighter jet belonging to the Polish Air Force went down during practice drills for an air show in Radom, a city in central Poland. Sadly, the pilot lost his life in the crash. The news was officially confirmed by Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Shocking visuals circulate online

Footage of the disaster has spread rapidly across social media platforms. In the video, the jet can be seen attempting a barrel-roll maneuver before suddenly spiraling out of control. Moments later, it slammed into the runway and exploded into a massive fireball. The clip shows the aircraft crashing just a few meters away from the spectators’ area.

Deputy PM’s condolence message

Reacting to the incident, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz shared his condolences on Twitter (X). He expressed grief over the pilot’s death, writing:

“A Polish Air Force pilot lost his life in the F-16 crash. His courage and commitment were invaluable to our homeland. May he rest in peace. I extend my heartfelt sympathies to his family and loved ones.”

Meanwhile, authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine what caused the crash. The country’s defense forces also issued a statement expressing profound sorrow over the loss of their brave aviator.
