Four Arrested in Stolen Motorcycle Investigations

SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) - Investigators from the Felony Crime Unit arrested four individuals on Thursday in connection with two separate stolen motorcycle investigations, according to the Salem Police Department.

The investigation led detectives to a storage facility on 22nd Street Southeast, where they found one of the stolen motorcycles and three suspects: two adults and a minor. The trio attempted to escape in a vehicle but were apprehended.

A search warrant for the vehicle and the storage unit resulted in the seizure of a short-barreled shotgun, a handgun, body armour, and several pieces of stolen mail.

At approximately 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, while still at the scene, two people arrived at the storage facility on motorcycles. One of the riders fired multiple gunshots into the air before both fled at high speeds.

About 15 minutes later, the two suspects were spotted near State Street and Lancaster Drive. A pursuit ensued, ending near Lancaster Drive and Rockey Street Southeast when one suspect crashed their motorcycle after hitting a curb. This suspect was arrested, but the second suspect managed to escape.

The two adults arrested at the scene were identified as Zakiry Davis, 18, of Salem, and Natalie Genene Hefley, 32, of Mill City. Both were charged with motor vehicle theft. The 15-year-old boy was also arrested and taken to juvenile detention.

The man arrested after fleeing was identified as Zayn Free Bristow, 25, of Mill City. He faces charges including two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of felon in possession of a stolen vehicle, felon in possession of body armour, attempting to elude police, reckless driving, mail theft, and identity theft.
