The Telangana Cultural Society Singapore (TCSS) celebrated the Ugadi festival of the Vishwavasu year with great enthusiasm at Sri Shiva Durga Temple in Photong Pasir. As part of the celebrations, society members performed special pujas on Sunday. Scholar Peri Krishna Sharma conducted the Panchanga Shravanam (almanac reading), followed by the distribution of the Gantala Panchangam, written by Butte Veerabhadra Daivagna (Asthana Siddhanti of Srisailam Devasthanam), to society members. Over 300 Telugu people participated in the event, appreciating the selfless cultural initiatives of TCSS.
The event was coordinated by regional secretaries Santosh Varma Madarapu, Bhaskar Nadikatla, Shashidhar Erram Reddy, and vice presidents Nalla Bhaskar, Durga Prasad, Santosh Kumar Juloori, Prashanth Basika, and Sunitha Reddy Miryala. Other key organizers included General Secretary Bondugula Ramu and executive committee members like Peruku Shiva Ram Prasad and others. Their efforts ensured the smooth execution of the celebrations.
TCSS President Gadapa Ramesh Babu, Treasurer Nangunoori Venkata Ramana, and other office bearers expressed gratitude to all donors, sponsors, and attendees for their support. They also thanked YSVSR Krishna (Passport Attaché, Indian High Commission, Singapore) for attending the event.
