Hartford, Connecticut, USA: A student from Hyderabad lost his life in the United States after sustaining critical injuries in a road accident that occurred five days ago in Connecticut. Despite receiving treatment, he could not recover. Following this unfortunate incident, his family has approached the US Consulate in Hyderabad requesting an urgent visa to travel.
The student, Mohammed Zaid, was a resident of Old Malakpet, Hyderabad, and was enrolled at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he was pursuing a degree in health professions and allied clinical sciences.
The Accident
On Saturday, Zaid had stepped out to purchase groceries when he was struck by an unidentified car. He was immediately taken by local authorities to St. Vincent’s Medical Centre, Hartford HealthCare, Connecticut. For three days, he remained unconscious and was kept on a ventilator, as confirmed by his father, Mohd Ismail.
Zaid’s friends in the US later informed the family about his passing.
Family Appeals for Support
In the wake of this tragedy, Zaid’s family has sought assistance from the Telangana State government and requested the US Consulate General in Hyderabad to grant them an emergency visa to manage the situation. The family now awaits the consulate’s response regarding their request.
