Indian-Origin Couple Brutally Attacked at Swiss Hotel, Story Goes Viral

Gersau, Schwyz, Switzerland: What was supposed to be a dream getaway in Switzerland turned into a nightmare for a Canada-based Indian-origin couple after they were physically attacked by a Chinese man at their hotel. The shocking assault left the woman with fractured teeth and lifelong trauma, as revealed in a viral social media post.

The incident, which took place in June this year, gained attention only recently after digital creator Ashish Rajput shared the couple’s ordeal on Instagram. His post included disturbing details and a photo of the woman’s severe dental injuries.

According to the post, Nikita and her husband, Karan, had flown to Switzerland on June 24 to celebrate multiple personal milestones, including their anniversary and birthday. They had checked into Seehotel Schwert, a property reportedly run by a Chinese family. From the very start, the couple claimed they felt unwelcome at the hotel, allegedly because of their skin color.

The couple had complained about a fan being removed from their room without prior notice. However, the hotel manager allegedly responded aggressively and refused to communicate in English. The next morning, when they brought up the issue again during checkout, the situation escalated dramatically.

The manager allegedly launched a brutal physical assault, punching and kicking both Karan and Nikita in the face, stomach, back, and legs. He is also accused of throwing a heavy metal object at Nikita’s face, leaving her with devastating injuries. One tooth was completely knocked out from its root, while another 12 teeth were fractured.

The post described the aftermath: both Nikita and Karan are undergoing treatment for severe PTSD and remain on strong medication. Nikita, in particular, has been undergoing multiple dental surgeries to repair her injuries. "Her face has changed. Her confidence is broken. She avoids mirrors," Rajput’s post read. Quoting Nikita, he added: “I don’t feel like myself anymore. The physical wounds might take a year to heal, but the panic attacks and trauma could last forever.”

Despite the gravity of the allegations, the hotel has denied all wrongdoing, claiming that the couple was rude and even suggesting they initiated the altercation.
