Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said a ceasefire with Hamas won’t stop Israel’s mission to dismantle the group’s military and governing power in Gaza.
Speaking after a “historic visit” to Washington, he insisted that unless Hamas fully disarms and ends its rule, Israel will use military force if necessary.
Rejecting U.S. pressure to avoid Rafah and the Philadelphi Corridor, Netanyahu declared Israel has previously resumed fighting after ceasefires and will do so again if needed. After meeting with hostage families, he assured them of continued efforts for their release without compromising military goals.
Be it through negotiations or military strength, our efforts will persist until Hamas is dismantled and lasting security for Israel is ensured," Netanyahu declared.
