Los Angeles Erupts in Protests Over Immigration Raids Curfew Imposed

Protests have erupted in Los Angeles against immigration raids, creating major unrest in the city. On Friday, federal agents conducted immigration raids, leading to widespread agitation. Thousands of people took to the streets opposing President Trump's immigration policies, staging large-scale protests.

In response, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced a limited curfew in parts of Downtown Los Angeles. The curfew will be in effect from 8 PM to 6 AM, starting Tuesday night. However, the curfew will not apply to residents or those working in the area.

The protests that began last weekend in Los Angeles have spread to other cities across the U.S., including Atlanta, Austin, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, and Kentucky. Protesters gathered in front of ICE offices, demanding the release of detainees. President Donald Trump announced the deployment of 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to control the protests. The demonstrations began after ICE agents conducted raids in Los Angeles on June 6 to arrest undocumented immigrants, particularly targeting Latin American migrants. As the protests intensified, over 100 people, including the president of the California Service Employees International Union, were arrested. Downtown Los Angeles has since become the epicenter of the movement, prompting the mayor to impose a curfew.
