Nehal Modi, brother of diamond merchant Nirav Modi, was arrested in the US on July 5 following an extradition request by the CBI and ED.
He faces allegations of defrauding LLD Diamonds, a major US diamond firm, of around ₹19 crore through a multi-layered scheme.
He allegedly took diamonds under pretenses, violated payment terms, and sold them for personal gain.
