Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly criticized India, warning that any attempt to stop river waters could spark war.
During International Youth Day in Islamabad, he declared that not a single drop of water would be allowed to flow to India.
The waters of the Indus are the lifeblood of Pakistan, and our rights under international treaties will not be compromised.”
Pakistan’s foreign ministry recently urged India to release the Indus waters in line with contractual agreements.
Former minister Bilawal Bhutto also warned that denying these waters could lead to war. Pakistan Army Chief Aseem Muneer similarly threatened nuclear retaliation if future conflicts arise with India.
