PM Narendra Modi arrived in Argentina for a landmark two-day visit, the first by an Indian PM in 57 years.
Welcomed with lively traditional dances by the Indian diaspora at Buenos Aires' Ezeiza Airport, Prime Minister Modi described Argentina as an important partner in advancing India’s economic interests across Latin America.
Invited by President Javier Milei, Modi will hold talks at Casa Rosada on defense, energy, trade, and critical minerals. He will also visit national landmarks, including the Boca Juniors Stadium, and pay tribute to independence hero Jose de San Martin.
Argentina marks the third leg of Modi’s five-nation tour after Ghana and Trinidad & Tobago. Next stop: Brazil for the BRICS Summit.
