Dallas, Texas, USA: Rajeshwari Udayagiri was bestowed with the honorary title of Empress of Melody for the legendary singer K.S. Chitra. During the ceremony, Gopal Ponnangi presented a special citation and certificate of recognition in her honour.
Washington: Legendary singer K.S. Gupta received a grand tribute during a concert held at the Frisco Flyers Event Centre in Dallas. Thousands of fans were immersed in the soulful music from the film. The renowned Telugu music festival, organized collaboratively by Radio Surabhi and AG Fintalks, showcased performances by artists including Srikrishna, Sindhuja, Anamika, Sudhansh, and others. The program featured songs from films like Shruti Neevu Gati Neevu Ee Naa Krithi Neevu Bharathi, directed by art visionary K. Viswanath, and Sobhan’s directorial debut, Innallaku Gurthochana Vaana. The event concluded with a melodious finale.
During the award presentation, Rajeshwari Udayagiri received the Empress of Melody title on behalf of the 24/7 Telugu radio community in the United States. Gopal Ponnangi handed her a special citation and certificate of honor. Distinguished guests at the event included the Mayor of Frisco, the Mayor of McKinney, and Texas State Representative Matt Shaheen.
The Mayor of Frisco expressed pride in hosting such a vibrant cultural celebration in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Rajeshwari Udayagiri, Head of Radio Surabhi, said, “I am delighted to be here and thank the Telugu community for their overwhelming support in making this event successful.”
