Boston, Massachusetts: More than 200 backpacks were distributed to students at six schools in Franklin, New England, as part of the TANA Backpack program.
More than 200 backpacks were presented as part of the New England TANA Backpack Program, which inspired everyone at six schools in Frankly.
The North American Telugu Association distributes school bags to children in the name of a backpack every year. TANA has been organizing this backpack event for many years with the intention of doing its part for the community in the UNITED States that has supported them. This year, too, the backpack programme was undertaken by TANA leaders, New England regional representative Mounika Manikonda.
In New England, school bags were distributed to school children at six schools in Franklin on August 27. More than 200 bags were handed over to the children under this backpack programme. These include crayons, erasers, pencils, sharpeners, pens, and other items. The event was attended by TANA leaders in New England. TANA New England Regional Representative Mounika Manikonda, TANA International Coordinator Krishna Prasad Sompalli, and Tribhuvan Parupalli were present. Assistant Superintendent Dr Tina Rogers said in her statement that Tana's generosity brings a lot of smiles to the faces of children. Tana explained that these service activities are very inspiring for the parents in the community.
