Boston, Massachusetts, USA: TANA recently hosted a highly successful pickleball tournament in Boston, Massachusetts, as part of its New England chapter activities. Mounika Manikonda, Regional Coordinator of TANA New England, emphasized, “Sports play a vital role in our daily lives, which is why organizing this Pickleball Tournament was so important to us.”
Krishna Prasad Sompalli, TANA’s International Coordinator, addressed the participants, encouraging them to view every loss as a learning opportunity, to improve continuously, and strive for excellence in life.
The tournament featured 28 teams competing across mixed doubles, men’s doubles, and women’s doubles categories. The event spanned over five hours and showcased the talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship of more than 120 players. Winners and runners-up were honored with trophies and shields, sponsored by Source Group of Companies. Volunteers including Ravi Uppalapati, Anil Gowda, Gopi Nekkalapudi, Thirbu Parupalli, Venu Koonamneni, and Suresh Donepudi were instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the tournament.
The contributions of Foundation Trustee Srinivas Yenduri were highly appreciated. The venue was bustling with local athletes and young sports enthusiasts. Breakfast, fruits, and tea were provided to all attendees. In their congratulatory messages, President Dr. Naren Kodali and Sports Coordinator Shivlinga Prasad Chava lauded everyone for the successful organization of the tournament.
