Telugu NRIs Unite for NATS 5K Run in Tampa Honoring Dr. Madhavi

Florida, USA: The North American Telugu Society (NATS) organized a successful 5K run in Tampa, Florida, honoring the late Dr. Madhavi Sekharam, a respected social worker. Held at Lopez Park on Sunday, the event drew over 100 participants from the Telugu community, focusing on the importance of physical and mental well-being.

Olympian and marathon champion Meb Keflezighi graced the event as the chief guest, emphasizing the benefits of daily exercise and applauding the community’s spirit under the theme “Unity in Diversity Run.”

NATS Chairman Prasanth Pinnamaneni expressed gratitude to the Tampa Bay volunteer team and local organizations FIA and MATA for their support, announcing plans to make the 5K run an annual tradition. Several prominent NATS leaders and community members attended, including past and current officials who contributed to the event’s success.

The run featured additional activities like pushups and squats, encouraging participants to engage in fitness with family and friends. The event underscored NATS' commitment to uniting Telugu NRIs through meaningful initiatives.
