UK PM Keir Starmer Responds To Tragic Air India Crash

A London-bound Air India flight with 53 British passengers crashed soon after departing Ahmedabad, sparking a large fire. Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the tragedy as “deeply distressing” and is closely monitoring updates.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner lost contact soon after departure and crashed in a residential area. Casualties are feared but not yet confirmed.

The UK Foreign Office and embassy are actively working alongside Indian officials to assist those impacted by the incident. The flight had 230 passengers, including Indians, British, Portuguese, and a Canadian. Rescue operations are ongoing.
