Trump said the victims were Tren de Aragua cartel members linked to President Maduro and called the group a foreign terrorist organization responsible for murder, trafficking, and terrorism.
Maduro condemned the attack, accusing the U.S. of military intimidation and saying Venezuela’s forces are ready to respond.
The United States has announced a $50 million bounty for information leading to the capture of Nicolas Maduro. The Caribbean remains a hotspot for clashes between U.S. forces and regional drug traffickers.
