Why Did Garikapati Narasimha Rao Warn UK Audiences About AI?

London, United Kingdom: Renowned Padma Shri recipient Garikapati Narasimha Rao, visiting the United Kingdom for the first time, conducted a series of lectures across multiple cities at the invitation of the British Indian Telugu Cultural Association. His sessions drew large audiences, showcasing his expertise as both a life coach and literary scholar.

During his talk in Birmingham, he emphasised moral and spiritual values. In London, his lecture focused on the significance of religious practices and the responsibilities of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in contributing to nation-building. Combining humour, devotion, and philosophy, his address captivated attendees. He also offered a witty yet cautionary note on the unregulated use of artificial intelligence, highlighting its potential risks. Additionally, he encouraged NRIs to engage with and support their native villages as a way of serving the country.

The event saw Suresh Mangalagiri introducing the British Indian Telugu Cultural Association team. Core committee members, including Katepalli Sachindar Reddy, Vasa Bharath, Yashwanth, Ragasudha, Shanmukh, Subhash, Ashwin, Sudarshan, Raj Devarapu, Sharath Tamma, Vivek, Srinivas, and Balu, helped ensure the program ran smoothly. With contributions from volunteers and sponsors, the tour successfully promoted Telugu cultural heritage and ethical living. The gatherings also featured bhajans and classical dance performances, reflecting the commitment of NRIs to preserving their artistic and cultural traditions.
