Washington, D.C., USA: Anna Menon, who is married to Indian-American NASA astronaut Anil Menon, has been chosen for NASA’s astronaut training program after standing out among nearly 8,000 applicants.
On September 22, NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) announced that Anna Menon was selected as one of 10 new astronaut candidates for its 2025 Astronaut Candidate Class.
Menon and the other nine successful candidates were chosen through a highly competitive process involving over 8,000 applicants from across the United States. The selected individuals will participate in an intensive training program lasting almost two years, preparing them for future missions in low Earth orbit, as well as exploration missions to the Moon and Mars.
