Prasanth Reddy Concedes Kansas 3rd District Race, Pledges Continued Fight for American Dream

Prasanth Reddy, the Republican candidate for Kansas' 3rd District, expressed his gratitude to those who supported him, saying he is "thankful for everyone who stood with us on this journey."

After the election results were confirmed, Reddy conceded the race to Democrat Sharice Davids. He received 162,286 votes, or 42.8 percent, while Davids garnered 201,878 votes, equating to 53.2 percent.

In his concession speech, Reddy expressed appreciation for the backing he received throughout his campaign, stating, “It’s been the honor of a lifetime. While tonight’s outcome isn’t what we wanted, I’m so thankful for everyone who stood with us on this journey."

Reddy, originally from Chennai, highlighted his belief in the American Dream, saying, "I’ve lived the American Dream and want to secure it for future generations." His campaign, supported by prominent Republicans like Speaker Mike Johnson, emphasized his background as an oncologist and Air Force Reserve member. Reddy also advocated for stricter border control, including a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, and described himself as a "legal immigrant" while adopting a moderate stance on abortion in the final phase of his campaign.

Despite the loss, Reddy remains committed to the principles he ran on. “The values we campaigned on remain, and this is not the end of our fight," he said, affirming his dedication to his political goals.
