Canada Expands Permanent Residency Program Under PNP, Benefits Indian Professionals

Ottawa, Canada: Canada has announced plans to welcome a larger number of immigrants, marking a significant development under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The initiative enables foreign nationals to gain permanent residency in specific provinces.

The Trudeau administration has already issued invitations to 1,085 candidates via the Express Entry System (EES). The Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) confirmed the news in a statement dated May 16. Earlier this month, on December 2, 672 additional applications were accepted under the same program.

This expansion is expected to greatly benefit Indian professionals aspiring for permanent residency in Canada. The PNP provides an opportunity for skilled workers to settle and contribute to the growth of particular provinces.

With this move, Canada continues its efforts to attract global talent while offering a promising pathway for skilled immigrants to build their futures in the country.
