Brazil Reports 5,000 Deaths and 6.4 Million Dengue Cases in 2024

Brazil, Brasilia: Brazil's health officials reported on Thursday that nearly 5,000 people have died from dengue fever this year, with over 6.4 million probable cases identified.

According to the latest data from Brazil's Ministry of Health, the states with the highest number of cases are Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Parana.

Dengue fever is an acute infectious disease caused by the dengue virus, primarily spread by mosquitoes. It is common in tropical and subtropical regions. Symptoms typically include persistent fever, headaches, muscle pain, nausea, and rash.
