Kazakhstan and Congo Sign Oil and Gas Cooperation Industry

Kazakhstan, Astana: During the official visit of Republic of Congo President Denis Sassou Nguesso to Astana, Kazakhstan, a series of agreements were signed, according to Kazinform News Agency.

The agreements include:

  1. A visa exemption agreement for diplomatic passport holders between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Congo.
  2. A memorandum for political consultations between Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry and the Republic of Congo's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie, and Congolese Abroad.
  3. A memorandum of understanding between Kazakhstan’s Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry and the Republic of Congo’s Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Digital Economy.
  4. A memorandum between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction and the Republic of Congo’s Ministry of Mining Industries and Geology concerning the mining sector.
  5. A memorandum of understanding for cooperation between Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry and the Republic of Congo’s Energy Ministry.
  6. A memorandum of understanding between the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and the Republic of Congo’s Economy and Finance Ministry.
  7. An agreement on cooperation between Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas National Company JSC and the National Petroleum Company of the Republic of Congo.

Previously, it was reported that President Denis Sassou Nguesso arrived in Kazakhstan for this official visit at the invitation of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
