Chicago, Illinois, USA: Despite rainy weather conditions, nearly 100 community members gathered at Hanuman Mandir in Chicago on June 14 to celebrate the 12th International Day of Yoga, highlighting the values of wellness, unity, and cultural heritage.
The event was jointly organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA)-Chicago, the Indian Community of Niles Township (ICNT), United Senior Pariwar, and Hanuman Mandir, in collaboration with the Consulate General of India.

The session guided attendees through various yoga practices designed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and spiritual balance.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Consul General Sanjeev Pal emphasized the importance of yoga and its positive impact on daily life. Hemant Patel described yoga as one of India’s most significant contributions to the world and encouraged individuals to embrace it as a regular part of their lifestyle rather than limiting participation to annual celebrations.
The event also witnessed the participation of several community leaders, including Virendra Patel, Jagdish Hingu, Pramod Joshi, Sanjay Vora, Smitesh Shah, Bhanubhai Vyas, Usha Kamaria, Kruti Pandya, Anil Singh, Arvind Ankleshwaria, Joy (Dipen) Shah, Bhavesh Patel, and Satheesan Nair.
