Indian-origin doctor Misha Gautam begins fellowship at Mayo Clinic in the US

Rochester, Minnesota, USA: Indian-origin doctor Misha Gautam has joined Mayo Clinic as a new fellow in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, marking another step forward in her medical career at one of the world's leading healthcare institutions.

Gautam said she chose Mayo Clinic for its world-class training, collaborative culture and patient-first approach. She said the institution provides an opportunity to grow professionally while also offering a strong sense of belonging.

Mayo Clinic's Gastroenterology & Hepatology department welcomed Gautam and expressed its pride in having her join the team.

Gautam completed her MBBS from Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh. She was also associated with the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Medicine.

Outside her professional commitments, Gautam enjoys hiking, gardening and cooking regional Indian dishes. She is also a fan of The Office and says she has watched the series so many times that she knows most of its dialogue by heart.
