The Global Indian Diaspora Foundation is hosting a webinar titled “Issues & Challenges for the Indian Diaspora: Navigating Visa and Consular Matters in the United States” on December 2, 2024. The event will focus on key concerns affecting the Indian community in the US, including visa policies, immigration processes, and consular challenges.
The session will feature Mary Kennedy, a renowned immigration attorney, as the keynote speaker, and Somnath Ghosh, Consul General of India, as the guest of honor, who will provide insights from a diplomatic perspective. The discussion will be moderated by Abhinav Raina, general secretary of the foundation, with opening remarks by Rakesh Malhotra, the foundation’s president.
The webinar will cover crucial topics such as recent updates on US visa restrictions, changes in immigration policies, challenges with H-1B visa limitations, and the possible impact of reforms related to H-4 work restrictions. Attendees will also discuss obstacles Indian immigrants face in legal and consular procedures.
