Elon Musk (and Vivek Ramaswamy) versus Laura Loomer about H1B workers: Who is right?

Background: This started last Monday when Trump named Sriram Krishnan, a tech investor who was born in India, as a senior advisor on AI. Laura Loomer, a Maga republican who is controversial most of the time for her racial slurs blasted Trump for this decision. Elon Musk and later Vivek jumped in support of hiring highly skilled immigrants through H1B program. It has become viral in social media in US resulting in ugly fight between MAGA supporters one side and Elon and Vivek on the other side.

Laura Loomer compared to “termites” at Mar-a-Lago; Musk caller her a “troll”

Trump weighed in later in an interview with New York Post that he liked H1B Visa program, and he used this program on his properties and hired several highly skilled workers. It seems Trump was mistaken with H2 program which he had used for workers from Latin American countries with H1B program. But this fight is not over and should wait and see whether it creates further fissures in the Trump camp between ultra-right wingers and Musk.

CMI (Connect my India) stand: Legal immigration made this country great and superior in advancement of Science and Technology. It is able to attract the best talent in the world and contributed immensely in creating wealth. More than 50% of S&P 500 companies are found by immigrants in this country and is proof of this country’s superiority in every aspect. It would have been like “old Europe” had it been contributions from immigrants.
