15 Injured As Double Decker Bus Hits Bridge In Manchester

A serious accident occurred in Salford, Greater Manchester, when a double-decker bus collided with a bridge at the Barton Road and Trafford Road junction.

A major traffic incident involving a public double-decker bus left fifteen passengers injured, with three suffering serious trauma and one in critical condition.

The vehicle was part of the "100 service" under Transport for Greater Manchester.

Emergency crews responded swiftly, deploying ten ambulances, a specialist hazard unit, and an air ambulance to the scene.

Victims were transported to Salford Royal and Manchester Royal Infirmary for urgent care. Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Eyewitness Stacy Morley noted this was the fourth such incident at the same bridge. Authorities sealed off the crash site and requested the public to stay away from the vicinity. An investigation is underway.
