US President Donald Trump is reportedly planning a visit to Pakistan this September, as per claims made by two regional TV networks.

If the trip goes ahead, it would mark the first official visit by a sitting US president to Pakistan in nearly two decades, the last being George W. Bush in 2006.

Despite the buzz in media circles, Pakistan’s foreign ministry has denied receiving any formal notification regarding the potential visit.

Sources also suggest that Trump’s itinerary may include a subsequent stop in India.

This anticipated visit comes as ties between Washington and Islamabad show signs of improvement, underscored by Trump’s recent meeting with Pakistan’s army chief, Marshal Asim Muneer, at the White House.
