Indian Man Attacked In Australia, 4 Arrested

Concerns over the safety of Indians in Australia have resurfaced following a violent assault on 33-year-old Saurabh Anand in Melbourne.

The incident occurred on May 19 after he stepped out to a local pharmacy in Altona Meadows. A group of five teenagers allegedly ambushed him, inflicting severe injuries to his hand and spine.

Fortunately, doctors managed to save his hand through surgery. Authorities have arrested four suspects.

This incident follows another violent attack on an Indian national just days earlier, 23-year-old Charanpreet Singh was assaulted in Adelaide, marking the second such case in a week.

Meanwhile, tensions escalated further when a Hindu temple in Boronia was defaced with racist graffiti. These incidents have left the Indian diaspora in Australia deeply unsettled.
