Athulya Sekhar, a 30-year-old woman from Kerala, was tragically discovered dead in her Sharjah residence on the day she turned 30.
Her parents allege she was killed by her husband, Satish, who had been harassing her for dowry since their 2014 marriage. Kerala police have registered a case.
This is the second similar tragedy involving a Malayali woman in Sharjah this month.
