The US has deported 1,563 Indians since Donald Trump became president on January 20, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
Most were sent back on commercial flights. In Trump's first month, 37,660 immigrants were deported, compared to 3,000 under Joe Biden.
An estimated 18 million Indians currently live in the US without proper documentation.
