Shubhanshu Shukla Returns Safely After Historic ISS Mission

Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s 18-day mission aboard the ISS has concluded successfully. His team landed safely in the waters near California at 3:01 PM and was promptly brought aboard a recovery ship, warmly greeting each other upon arrival.

7-Day Quarantine

As per ISRO protocol, the astronauts will undergo a seven-day quarantine to help their bodies readjust to Earth’s gravity. ISRO’s flight surgeons will closely monitor their health during this period.

Historic Mission

Part of the Axium-4 mission, Shubhanshu became the second Indian to travel to space, 41 years after Rakesh Sharma. He became the first Indian ever to visit and set foot on the International Space Station, marking a historic milestone in the nation's space journey.
