Trump called the flood damage unparalleled in scale and expressed deep sympathy to the affected families, emphasizing the nation's shared sorrow.

Melania met with mourning families, showing a bracelet given to her by a Camp Mystic family and saying, “We stand in grief with you.”

At a roundtable with local officials, Trump dismissed questions about early warnings and evacuations, calling them "evil."

Over 12,300 volunteers are aiding search efforts, according to Texas Emergency Management’s Nim Kidd. TV host Dr. Phil also spoke about the trauma of losing a child, saying, "You never get over it, you get through it."
