UN: 800 Palestinians Killed While Trying to Access Aid in Gaza

Nearly 800 people have been killed in Gaza while trying to access aid since May 27, the UN reported.

Most deaths occurred near sites run by the US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which began operations on May 26 after Israel halted supplies for over two months.

UN spokeswoman Ravina Shamdasani said 615 were killed near GHF sites and 183 more likely along aid convoy routes. Most injuries were from gunfire.

Despite distributing over 69 million meals, GHF operations have faced chaos and accusations of Israeli forces firing on crowds.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has firmly denied allegations of fatal shootings near its aid distribution centers, asserting that no such incidents have taken place at its sites.
