In a shocking incident that shook Midtown Manhattan, a heavily armed assailant unleashed gunfire inside a high-rise building home to the NFL and several major corporations, including Blackstone.

The violent attack claimed the lives of five individuals, among them a responding police officer, and left multiple others wounded.

The attacker, later identified as 27-year-old Shen Devon Tamura of Las Vegas, entered the skyscraper wearing body armor and wielding a semi-automatic rifle.

Authorities swiftly responded to the active shooter situation, and the suspect was ultimately neutralized at the scene.

Investigators confirmed that Tamura had no significant prior criminal history, leaving questions about his motives unanswered. 

The incident occurred at 345 Park Avenue, triggering a large police and FBI response.
