Why Putins Bodyguards Carry His Waste On Trips

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bodyguards allegedly collect his waste during foreign trips and carry it back to Moscow in a special suitcase.

Reported by Paris Match and The Express US, this practice, traced back to visits in 2017 and 2019, aims to prevent foreign intelligence from analyzing his health through “medical espionage.”

Videos and eyewitness accounts show Putin’s security detail guarding washrooms and transporting locked cases, fueling speculation about his health. Former US intelligence officer Rebekah Koffler explained that Putin wants to project strength and secrecy, discouraging any perception of weakness.

At 72, Putin has long faced rumors of ailments like cancer or Parkinson’s, though the Kremlin denies them. His security team also employs portable toilets to ensure no biological trace is left behind. For Moscow, even waste is treated as a national security risk—underscoring the Kremlin’s obsession with shielding the leader’s health.
