NYC mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani hosted a three-day private wedding celebration in Kampala, Uganda, with heavy security including masked commandos and phone jammers.

The event took place at his family’s luxury estate and featured elaborate decorations, music, and VIP guests.

Mamdani married artist Rama Duwaji after earlier ceremonies in Dubai and New York.

The timing drew criticism for overlapping with a local mourning period for a former Supreme Court judge.

Though grand in scale, the wedding remained largely out of the spotlight. Mamdani is expected to stay in Uganda through the end of the month.
