New Scholarships for Indian Students at the University of Birmingham in 2025

England, UK: The University of Birmingham has introduced several new scholarships for Indian students to celebrate its 125th anniversary. These scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students starting their studies in 2025.

The University of Birmingham, a prestigious institution in the UK, is marking its 125th year by offering financial aid to Indian students enrolled in postgraduate and undergraduate programs.

As part of its 125th Anniversary Scholarships initiative, the university is providing the following opportunities:

4,000 Scholarships: These scholarships are available to eligible Indian students for most Master’s programs, with the exception of MSc Management, MSc International Business, MSc Marketing, and MBA. There is no limit to the number of scholarships awarded.

5,000 Scholarships: These are specifically for exceptional Indian students selected through the India Chancellor’s Scholarship program. These awards are available for all Master’s programs, including those in business-related fields, with up to 50 scholarships granted based on academic merit.

To be considered for these scholarships, students must complete their applications by May 2025.

Chancellor’s Scholarships for 2025

In celebration of the appointment of Sandie Okoro OBE as the University’s new Chancellor, the institution is also offering the following prestigious Chancellor’s Scholarships:

15 Awards of 6,000 Each: These scholarships are for postgraduate taught Master’s programs, awarded based on academic achievement demonstrated during the application process.

Purposeful Leader MBA Programme: Exceptional candidates may receive up to 15,000.

Responsible Business MBA Scholarships: Additional scholarships of up to 10,000 are available for MBA applicants.

Applications for these scholarships are open year-round, with a final deadline in May 2025.

For undergraduate students, the University offers the India High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships, which are based on academic merit and nominations from schools or agent partners. These scholarships are recognized under the High Fliers Research 2024, which ranks the University of Birmingham as one of the top universities most targeted by leading employers in the UK. Applications for these scholarships must be submitted by May 2025.

These scholarships are part of the celebrations surrounding the installation of Sandie Okoro OBE as the new Chancellor, the eighth person to hold this role since the University’s founding in 1900. She takes over from Lord Bilimoria of Chelsea CBE and joins a notable list of past Chancellors, including founder Joseph Chamberlain and former Prime Minister Anthony Eden, the Earl of Avon.
