Justin Trudeau Shocking Accusations: Is India Behind Canadian Murders and Robberies?

OTTAWA: Tensions Rise Between Canada and India Over Murder Allegations

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made serious allegations against Indian diplomats, claiming they are involved in the murder and extortion of Canadians in collaboration with an Indian criminal gang. This escalation follows the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian Sikh activist, in British Columbia last year, which Trudeau suggests may involve Indian agents.

Trudeau condemned India's actions, asserting that no democracy can accept such violations of sovereignty. He affirmed Canada's commitment to protecting its citizens from foreign threats on its soil. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have reportedly uncovered extensive criminal activities linked to Indian government agents, posing significant risks to public safety, although they have not confirmed if Nijjar’s case is included in their investigation.

In a diplomatic standoff, Canada expelled six Indian diplomats after India refused to waive their diplomatic immunity. India responded by expelling six Canadian diplomats, denying any involvement in the allegations and labeling them as “preposterous” without evidence provided by Canada. The Indian foreign ministry summoned the Canadian charge d'affaires to express its condemnation of what it termed “unfounded targeting” of its diplomats.

The situation remains tense as Trudeau and Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly seek to address the issue while prioritizing Canadian sovereignty and public safety.
