NRI Entrepreneur Sakshi Mittal: Journey from Corporate Life to Wellness Startup

Sakshi Chhabra Mittal, the founder and CEO of FoodHak, is reshaping the food industry with a range of health-oriented snacks and breakfast products that combine flavor with nutritional value. After spending more than 12 years in the corporate sector, Sakshi launched FoodHak, driven by a vision to make healthy eating accessible. She is also connected to a prominent business family, as the daughter-in-law of Sunil Mittal, the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises. Sakshi’s husband, Shravin Mittal, leads Bharti Global.

Originally from New Delhi, Sakshi is the eldest of three siblings. She and Shravin were schoolmates at The British School in Delhi and later married in 2015. Her academic journey began with a degree in Biotechnology from the University of Birmingham, followed by an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She started her professional career in pharmaceuticals with Pfizer and gained further experience with companies like SoftBank in Silicon Valley.

Sakshi’s decision to launch her own venture was inspired by her personal health journey. During her first pregnancy, she was diagnosed with a rare liver condition and turned to a plant-based Ayurvedic diet for healing. Remarkably, this diet helped reverse her illness and inspired the idea for FoodHak, which she established in London in February 2021.
