How Much Cash and Gold Did Israel Find in Hezbollah Hidden Facility Secret Bunker Under Beirut Hospital

Israel's military claims to have discovered a vast amount of cash and gold, valued at hundreds of millions of dollars, hidden in a "secret" Hezbollah bunker beneath the Al-Sahel Hospital in Beirut. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, Israel's chief military spokesman, disclosed that Hezbollah's former leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed last month by Israel, constructed the bunker to support long-term stays.

While Israel has vowed not to target the hospital itself, it continues strikes on Hezbollah’s financial assets elsewhere, urging Lebanon and international organizations to prevent Hezbollah from using the funds for terrorism.

In response, Lebanese lawmaker Fadi Alameh, director of the Al-Sahel Hospital, denied Israel’s claims, calling them false and demanding the Lebanese Army inspect the hospital to verify it only houses patients and medical facilities. Despite the evacuation process, Alameh reiterated the hospital’s innocence and expressed concern over the allegations.

Israeli airstrikes have intensified, with 30 Hezbollah-linked sites targeted in recent days. Israel's campaign against Hezbollah’s financial arm, Al-Qard al-Hassan, continues as part of a broader escalation in the conflict.

The ongoing tension, which began as a show of Hezbollah’s solidarity with Palestinians during the Gaza war, has evolved into routine cross-border fire, with Israel now expanding its operations against Hezbollah.
