The Consulate General of India in San Francisco, in collaboration with the Association of Indian Americans, will commemorate International Women’s Day with a special event titled ‘Naari 2026’ on March 8, 2026.
The celebration will focus on promoting diversity, equity, and gender equality while recognizing the achievements of women leaders who have made significant contributions across various professional and community spheres.
The Consulate will honor distinguished women from diverse fields for their impactful work and leadership. The event aims to acknowledge the resilience, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by women striving to create meaningful change in society.
The program will be led by Consul General of India Dr. Srikar Reddy. Key speakers include Prathima Reddy; Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis; retired U.S. Ambassador Shefali Razdan Duggal; Neeru Khosla, co-founder of CK-12 Foundation; Assemblymember Catherine Stefani; and Penny Coulter, Chief of Protocol for the City and County of San Francisco.
In addition to an awards ceremony, the event will feature cultural performances and structured networking sessions designed to encourage collaboration among women leaders and professionals.
