Kuwait: A father working in Kuwait reportedly returned to Andhra Pradesh and killed a man accused of molesting his 12-year-old daughter, alleging police negligence in handling the case. The man later posted a selfie video from Kuwait, confessing to the crime.
According to reports, the incident occurred on December 7 in a village near Obulavaripalli in Annamayya district. The father, employed as a laborer in Kuwait, allegedly stabbed the accused with a knife, resulting in his death on the spot, before returning to Kuwait.
In the video, the father explained that both he and his wife work in Kuwait, leaving their daughter in the care of his sister-in-law and her husband. He claimed that his sister-in-law's father-in-law had recently molested his daughter.
"When my daughter resisted, he attempted to silence her, but she managed to raise the alarm, prompting my wife's sister to intervene and save her," he recounted. Despite alleged threats to keep the incident quiet, the girl confided in her mother during a recent visit.
Father Claims Police Neglected Complaint
The father stated in the video that he initially chose to pursue legal action. He instructed his wife to report the matter to the police in Obulavaripalli. However, he alleged that the police summoned the accused and his relatives but only reprimanded them without taking further action.

He further claimed that when his wife returned to file another complaint, the police dismissed her concerns and allegedly threatened to file a case against her. Frustrated by the lack of action, the father said he felt compelled to take matters into his own hands. In the video, he expressed a willingness to surrender.
Police Respond to Allegations
Obulavaripalli Police Sub-Inspector P Mahesh denied the father's claims, stating that no formal complaint had been filed by the girl’s mother. He suggested that family disputes between the mother and her sister could be influencing the situation.
The officer alleged that the father’s video was an attempt to mislead the public and stated that the investigation would reveal all details. "If he planned to surrender, why did he return to Kuwait?" the SI questioned.
