Moscow, Russia: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has confirmed that 12 Indians who were fighting for Russia in the ongoing Ukraine conflict have lost their lives. Meanwhile, 16 others remain unaccounted for.
 The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reported that 12 Indian nationals, who were involved in the war in Ukraine on Russia's side, have been killed, with 16 others still missing. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal made the announcement on Friday. A total of 126 Indians have reportedly joined the conflict, with 96 being released by Russia and some of them returning to India. Currently, 18 Indians are still enlisted in the Russian military, and Russia has classified 16 of them as missing. The Indian government has urged Russia to facilitate the return of the remaining personnel.
